Biographical Note:

Deirdre McClay is from Lurgan, County Armagh, and now lives and works in County Donegal. She is a member of the Garden Room Writers., and has published short stories in a variety of publications in both the UK and Ireland. This includes the Sunday Tribune, the Irish Times, Crannog, Ulla’s Nib, Boyne Berries, Wordlegs, the Ranfurly Review and Friction Magazine. In June 2011 she was a winner in The Lonely Voice Short Story Competition, and was shortlisted in From The Well Short Story Competition. She was nominated for the Hennessy First Fiction Award in 2004.
